Ovaltine introduced family-sized tin jugs in the 1930's specifically for beating out the lumps. These were eventually replaced by glass measures for single portions, although Ovaltine introduced a plastic one for a short time, this tin style was first of its kind and quite the break-through.
The family who created Ovaltine produced lidded jugs where you could, with a lot of luck, blend the drink by shaking. Genius. These are so rare you can only find a few still out there in decent shape. If you're the collector of historic items, then this is a must have.
