Willett Bourbon Private Stock is proudly made and distilled by Willett Distillery (Kentucky Bourbon Distillers) in Bardstown, Kentucky. This is the Private Stock version, which is the main and most widely available offering from Willett. Bottled at 101 Proof (50.5% ABV), it is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, meaning it is aged for at least two years and follows strict bourbon regulations.

While it has no specific age statement, as a straight bourbon, it is at least four years old. Crafted as a small-batch bourbon, it blends Willett’s signature high-rye mash bills to create a rich and full-bodied flavor profile. You can expect notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, cinnamon, red fruits like apple and cherry, and warming baking spices. The bourbon has a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and a long-lasting, warm finish. Inspired by the legend of Johnny Drum, a young Civil War drummer boy who returned to Kentucky to make bourbon, this whiskey offers both history and character.

Previously, there were sourced and aged 15-year versions, but today the Private Stock stands out as a high-quality, strong, and reasonably priced option. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, though it also mixes beautifully in classic cocktails.
